Netiquette
Dear Community,
The AStA represents the student body of the University of Hamburg, which means that we are fundamentally partisan and support students wherever we can. In doing so, we also rely on feedback from the community - we even regularly ask you for your opinions and attitudes on many topics. The AStA is a place for open exchange, critical discussions and active involvement. To ensure that this remains the case, we have set out our wishes and requests to you in this netiquette, as well as clear rules.
To make our comment columns a welcoming place where you feel comfortable, but where constructive criticism also has its place, please note the following:
- There is no room for discrimination on the various platforms we use, e.g. on the basis of sexual identity, origin, appearance, faith, disability or age.
- Comments that are defamatory, offensive, pornographic or otherwise inadmissible or even punishable by law, or that spread national socialist terminology, are not permitted.
- Comments that violate copyright/right to one's own image are not permitted.
- We discuss on the basis of facts. If you can, substantiate your comment with a source. There is no room for fake news or conspiracy narratives here. This includes formulations that contain misanthropic ideologies.
- External links can be an enrichment for the discussion. However, if they violate the other rules, they will not be tolerated.
- In the discussion, refer to the content that we have posted.
- Advertising or commercial content has no place on our platforms. You can refer to posts on your own blogs or websites in addition to the topic.
- No personal data such as addresses or telephone numbers - not of others, but also of yourself - may be published.
- Spam or advertising will be deleted from our posts.
- In the AStA, the Public Relations Department is responsible for managing the channels. We moderate the discussion and reserve the right to delete posts or completely deactivate the comment function at our own discretion and in accordance with this netiquette. Illegal content will be reported to the police.
We are always available for questions, concerns and comments!
