These are the semi-autonomous departments that are committed to the status group-specific concerns:
They represent minority groups. They are elected by those students who are systematically and/or structurally disadvantaged.
„To us, "queer" means that identities are dynamic, fluid, and provisional. They are snapshots and can change. The queer department is an open space for all sexual orientations, preferences, and identities. At us, you'll find students who are lesbian, gay, trans, sadomasochistic ... or just don't want to fit into those boxes. There's a wide range of options, from brunch to game nights to movie nights.
As Feminist Unit, we represent the interests of female students and all students to whom the female gender is or has been assigned. We are a self-organised, political group with the aim of exposing circumstances of discrimination and drawing perspectives from them. To this end, we meet regularly in Room 0046, Von-Melle-Park 5 (AStA-corridor).
The Department for Disabled and Chronically Ill Students (RBCS)
The RBCS represents the interests of disabled and chronically ill students and advises them on study-related topics such as barrier-free access to study, compensation for disadvantages and organization of everyday life.
The Department for International Students (RiS)
The Department for International Students is the place of self-organized solidarity advocacy for all students with a migrant background or without a German passport. We work together for peace and cultural understanding, fight against discrimination and for (social) equality. For this we also do consultation hours, meetings and events.
