Finance
The Finance Department is the first point of contact for all questions and matters relating to the funds of the Students' Union (VS). Every student pays 18 euros per semester to the VS. These funds are used for the work of the AStA, the student councils (FSRe) and student initiatives.
The student parliament (StuPa) discusses the allocation of funds to the individual departments as part of the budget deliberations. The current 2024/25 budget was approved at the StuPa meeting and confirmed by the Economic Council.

The Finance Officer is primarily responsible for administrative tasks. These include drawing up the budget, monitoring compliance with the budget after it has been adopted, as well as bookkeeping and cash management.
We will, of course, continue to deal with all requests that are sent to us by email. Please send your concerns to finanzen@asta.uni-hamburg.de
Invoices, financial and payment requests
Please send us the original financial applications and invoices by internal mail. If there are any questions or uncertainties, we can also be contacted by email (finanzen@asta.uni-hamburg.de). Financial applications to the AStA meeting must be submitted by 4.00 pm on Thursday so that they can be safely decided at the next meeting (usually every fortnight from 12.30 pm on mondays).
We have a letterbox that you can use to post your documents. It is emptied regularly and you will find the letterbox next to the door of room 0038a in the AStA wing (Von-Melle-Park 5).
