RiS Election Results Declared Invalid
27 August 2026
The election for the Office for International Students (RiS) held on June 10 has been declared invalid.
Elections for the Office for International Students (RiS) took place during the lecture period of the current summer semester. Since the RiS election regulations have now been declared insufficient by the Hamburg Administrative Court, the election results from June 10 must also be annulled by the AStA Executive Board.
This means that List 2 will not take up its duties in the RiS, and the former team of spokespersons will nevertheless step down. There are no plans for an interim leadership of the RiS. The Student Parliament is working to convene a plenary assembly as soon as possible to update the election regulations and hold new elections, so that the department can be staffed again shortly.
Have you sought counseling at the RiS and need someone to contact regarding an issue that falls within the RiS’s area of responsibility?
