Pride Week & CSD Program 2023
We will of course also be at CSD 2023!
In the week before the CSD, there will also be a different event every day:
Monday, 31.7. 19:00 Games evening: come along and meet new people in a relaxed atmosphere, we have a shelf full of board and board games. If you have your own favorites, bring them along and pitch them to us, new games are always welcome.
Tuesday, 1.8. 18:30 Book club: If you prefer something intellectually challenging, you are welcome to discuss “Gender Trouble” by Judith Butler, help choose the next reading object or simply admire our internal library.
Wednesday, 2.8. 14:00 Button design: Creative minds are very welcome. We design and produce our own buttons, because the button machine is always hungry and every bag can certainly fit two more...
Thursday, 3.8. 15:00 CSD sign making: Materials are provided, all you need to bring are your ideas and clothes that can potentially get dirty.
Thursday, 3.8. 19:30 Movie night: After crafting, we will watch the second season of “Heartstopper” in the evening.
Friday 4.8. 14:00 Buttons 2: The Buttoning: As one day is never enough, we will continue to work diligently on Friday.
Saturday 5.8. Christopher Street Day:
If you would like to join the parade on August 5th, you are welcome to join us on Saturday from 10:00 am at the Queer Referat for breakfast and getting ready, from there we will start together towards Lange Reihe at 11:30 am.
Command Queer is also organizing an alternative CSD spectacle in the Gängeviertel, where we will also be represented with a table from 4 pm!
The CSD event is intended to be an alternative to white, cis-gay and capitalist CSD structures and offers queer artists and activists a stage for political speeches, presentations by queer institutions and artistic contributions. The aim is to create spaces that are less discriminatory, especially for TIN and BIPOC people. The program is intended to empower, inspire and ensure more visibility for queer life realities!
A colorful program of rally, queer show, open air, karaoke, drag stage and much more will start at 2 pm!
