We see everywhere in Germany and internationally that right-wing politics is on the rise. Whether it's racist incitement and stoking prejudice, anti-human asylum reforms or the rise of fascist parties and organizations. In our series of events, we want to talk about the different sides of the right-wing movement and discuss what we can do as students.

WHAT IS THE EU DOING TO THE RIGHT?

In the EU elections, parties are calling for a vote against the shift to the right and a clear signal for the EU. But can an institution that recently passed the GEAS reform really do anything against the right? On the occasion of the election, we want to talk about the shift to the right, and the role of the EU.

RIGHTWARD SHIFT IN LATIN AMERICA
with Dr. Thiago Prates and Javier Sadarangani
This event presents a historical context of right-wing extremism and fascism in Latin America over the past 30 years. Using historical analysis, a regional perspective is provided with a clear picture of authoritarian and far-right governments in Latin America using the concrete cases of Argentina, Brazil and El Salvador.
