First aid for physically disabled people

First aid is vital. But what should you do if a wheelchair user loses consciousness? How can you quickly and gently move them into the recovery position?
How should you interact with people with visual impairments?
How can you adequately help people with spasticity and other limitations?
The course covers the following topics, among others:
• Basic knowledge: Physical disabilities
• Rescue from the danger zone
• HELD and emergency calls
• Handling wheelchairs
• Measures for psychological care
• Visual impairments
• Wound care, especially pressure bandages
• Shock, fractures, burns/scalding
• Checking consciousness and determining breathlessness
• Recovery position
• The unconscious wheelchair user / The electric wheelchair
• Resuscitation
• Foreign bodies in the airways
The course is primarily aimed at assistants. If you would like to participate accompanied by your assistant, please contact us.
We are pleased to be able to offer this important course in cooperation with the German Red Cross and look forward to welcoming many participants.
When? Friday, September 19, 2025, 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Where? The location will be communicated to registered participants by email shortly before the event.

Participation fee €50.00 (except for student assistants)
