Interest-free loan for the semester fee SoSe 2024

The summer semester 2024 is coming up and so is the transfer of the semester fee. Are you worried about whether and how you will be able to pay it, even in the face of rising costs everywhere? Then this email comes at the right time!

As every year, the AStA offers students of the University of Hamburg in financial hardship an interest-free loan this semester, so that the semester fee can be transferred to the university on time.

How exactly does it work?

You send us your application documents by post and transfer us €100 as a deposit. After your application is approved, the AStA will transfer the full semester fee to the university on your behalf. You will then be enrolled for the summer semester.

Then, from November to February, you pay back the money you borrowed (= semester fee minus €100.00 deposit = €232.00) to the AStA. The instalments are conveniently debited by direct debit from your account, so you can fully concentrate on your studies.
