Are you interested in gender equality, global justice and the empowerment of women worldwide? Then you've come to the right place!

We, the university group of the Marie-Schlei-Verein e.V., are committed to women's rights and the promotion of global gender equality. There are many ways to volunteer; from group meetings, joint events to participation in public relations events or helping with social media and project visits to our partner organizations, everything is included.

The Marie-Schlei-Verein e.V. is a non-profit organization that has been working closely with local partner organizations in Africa, Asia and Latin America for over 40 years to support women in rural and disadvantaged regions on their path to economic independence. The projects cover a wide range of initiatives, from vocational training to legal education, and serve to promote local initiatives developed by women themselves. The association's work is thus based on the principles of self-determination, equal opportunities, sustainability and cooperation on an equal footing. Be Independent is the association's latest initiative, which was launched on March 8, 2025, International Women's Day: www.be-independen.net (http://www.be-independen.net/).
